Too much chin waggin’ with old friends and new alike meant a rush around trying to get everything covered as the hours counted down.

Quick cup of coffee while the lanyard trees are restocked…

First on the list of still to do’s was Lightweight wheels…

And this is what a Lightweight wheel starts out life as…

Meilenstein Obermayer…

Agilitat, maximiert as it would appear they say in Germany.

Oh, and they do frames now too…

A Ride for Michael Bonney T-Shirt spotted…

3T fitting…

Haribo giveaway, seems familiar…

Hiplock the wearable D lock…

Our old friends at Hope had their new bars on display…

And had brought along their Action Man like accessory kits…

These Lauf forks were getting a lot of attention…

Miche Supertype wheels…

Garmin’s new Virb camera

And the new Edge 800 Touring gps…

Team Sky at Fizik…

One more Pina…

Over at Cinelli echoes of the past…

and smack bang in the present…

Sidi flouro-ness…

Fulcrum wheels…

GT Zaskar lives on all be it with bigger wheels and brakes that work since the last time I rode one in ’94…

GT Fury…

GT Force 27.5…

Good ol’ XT

And as good and as ol’, Deore…

Giant crossers. His…

and hers…

Interesting to see this Nevi’s Ti take on the current 29′er fork design…

Speaking of ti, just time to catch up with the lovely chaps at Litespeed, guess this is the room?…

And as quickly as it had begun, it was home time…

Of the noticeable trends, blue seems to be the new green which last year was the new red. People are still re-inventing the weight benchmark of the wheel to astounding success. E bikes seem to have taken hold to the point of now entering the DH market. Retro has gone. Fixie has gone. Flouro is going. Big and not quite as big wheels are well and truly settled. And there is a niche waiting in the wings of bigger still wheels.

Lovely to catch up with old friends and make new ones too at what really is a truly amazing bike show. Three days flat out and you can only just get the main gist of it. Hope the pics have been of interest, thanks for looking and stay tuned for some of them to become reality on our web pages in the near future.
